A cheap, light, and non-invasive wearable that tracks exercise intensity continuously with the help of data science.
Athletes are constantly searching for ways to assess and further improve their performance. Information about exercise intensity and fatigue are crucial for an athlete to train efficiently and reduce their chance of getting sports related injuries.
The degree of fatigue also determines the length of the optimal recovery period before training is continued.
However, current measurements are either expensive, invasive, inaccurate or cannot be performed outside of a lab setting. Heart rate is now used as the most popular intensity indicator but is easily influenced by other factors such as a simple cup of coffee. Furthermore, heart rate values are based on large populations and do not take the individual into account.
Therefore, Ares Analytics is designing a cheap, light, and non-invasive wearable that tracks exercise intensity continuously with the help of novel data science techniques.
